According to Article 5 of the Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students in Taiwan: "Overseas Chinese Students must follow these regulations when applying to universities in Taiwan. However, they are not allowed to apply to cram schools, advanced-studies institutions, distance-learning educational institutes, online education establishments, and for undergraduate programs in recurrent education designed by colleges and universities in Taiwan, part-time, in-service courses of Masters programs, and other programs, which are restricted to night classes and classes during holidays"; and Article 10 of the MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan: "International students may not apply for undergraduate programs in recurrent education designed by colleges and universities in Taiwan, part-time, in-service courses of Master programs, and other programs, which are restricted to night classes and classes during holidays."
